Technology Innovation Fosters Industry Development

On January 27, Wan Gang, Minster of Science and Technology, held a meeting with scientists and university researchers and the chiefs of technology enterprises in Fujian. Zhang Zhinan, the Deputy Governor of Fujian Province, presided over the meeting. Wang Qinmin, Head of the Science and Technology Department of Fujian Province, reported on the provincial technology innovation agenda.

Minster Wan affirmed the outstanding performance of Fujian's policy for technology innovation. The provincial government offers an innovative approach and capital support for technology development. The government has achieved significant results in Fujian-Taiwan cooperation and technology development. The meeting acted as means for the ministry and provincial government to share ideas on their current and future working agendas.

Chen Junhua, Vice President of Chaoda Group, presented on the topic of how technology innovation fosters industry development. He described Chaoda's efforts and achievements in technology innovation. Through the enhancement of its R&D systems, establishment of a technology research institute, post-doctoral research and basic level research, Chaoda has established a strong research platform in association with universities.

Chaoda actively recruits scientific talent, conducts external technology collaboration and fosters corporate innovation. During the meeting, Mr. Chen shared his views from the corporate perspective on issues arising from innovation.
