Opening of the 2008 Taiwan Agricultural Products Fair

On November 18, the tenth annual Cross Strait (Zhangzhou, Fujian) Flowers and Plants Fair and 2008 Taiwan Agricultural Products Fair were launched at the ZhangzhouFlowerExpoGarden. Chen Junhua, Vice President of General Affairs of Chaoda and Yang Jinfa, Vice President of Chaoda,were invited to attend the opening ceremony.

It is the highest level and largest Taiwan agricultural products fair in Mainland China.The fair was organized by Chaoda this year. Over 150 agricultural organizations from Taiwan including farmers'associations, agricultural cooperation unions and agricultural enterprises participated in the fair and over 1000 agricultural products were displayed.

The Fair was held at Zhangzhou, Fujian, which further illustrates the important role of agricultural cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan in the promotion of cross strait economic and cultural exchange by establishing a more direct and effective channel.

Chen Junhua said, "The Fair aims to display and promote high quality Taiwanese agricultural products as well as strengthen cross strait agricultural exchange and cooperation by creating more business opportunities and allowing more Taiwanese to benefit from cross strait development." Chen also mentioned that the current peaceful development between Mainland China and Taiwan will lead to a bright future. The people from the two coasts would cooperate and develop together better than ever.

After the opening ceremony, there was a Taiwan agricultural products tasting event.
