On June 11, 2009, Sun Zhengcai, China's Minister ofAgriculture visited Chaoda's Yangzhou Production Base. Minister Sun toured an exhibition of new fruits and vegetables as well as production areas, tasting some of the products.
As the minister was passing through the Seed Cultivation Center and viewing its automated production line, he remarked: "Chaoda is a model of modern agriculture, with its economies of scale and high level of standardized production."
Minister Sun was accompanied by officials including Huang Lixin, Vice Governor of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government; Wu Peiliang, Director of the Agricultural Department of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government; Ji Jiangye, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee; and Ni Shijun, Secretary of the Jiangdu Municipal Committee.
