Chaoda has donated RMB 100,000 and 4,000 books to build a library and reading room at the Yangmei Primary School servicing Yunxiao and Meizhou villages in Shaoan.
The donation was part of a program called Book Express"sponsored by the education department of Fujian Province, the Literary Promotion Association of Fujian, Fujian TV News Channel, and Chaoda. The program supports literacy in rural areas and helps to realize an official policy to build a harmonious countryside"
On December 12, a presentation ceremony was held with students of the program. Volunteer tutors from Chaoda presented books and told patriotic stories while the students listened raptly. Wang Shaokun, vice president of the Literacy Promotion Association, awarded a medal to Chaoda honoring its contribution to the program.
