On April 29, 2010, Chaoda s Yangzhou Production base hosted a site visit for analysts and investors organized by Macquarie Securities. Participants came from the United States, Japan, and Europe. The government official of Agricultural department also visited the base at the same time.
At Chaoda s seedlings nursery, the visitors met with the head of production bases department of the Group, Wang Longwang, who offered a tour and presentation on cucumber seedlings.
Mr. Wang also led a tour of the broccoli packaging factory at the Yangzhou base, describing the packaging process. At the request of the visitors, he also gave a presentation on the farm s irrigation system and water supply.
He explained that the Yangzhou farm s principal water source is from the Yangtze River, which is directed from south to north as far as Beijing.
Chaoda has put in place a system at Yangzhou that ensures reliability in terms of water supply, and is able to cultivate such water-hungry vegetables as water celery, an aquatic plant. Chaoda has no concerns about the adequacy of water supply at this location.

The Macquarie Securities analysts and investors found much of interest in Chaoda s large-scale farming and irrigation systems. The visit and presentations added to their understanding of the Chaoda business model, based on the strategic geographic positioning of production bases to mitigate risk from natural causes and weather. |
