FPD International CHINA 2010 / Summit and Seminar held

FPD International CHINA 2010 / Summit and Seminar was held at China National Convention Centre(CNCC) on December, 10th, 2010 by China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association LCD Branch and Nikkei Business Publications with the attendance of the leaders from National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform and Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
The theme of FPD International China 2010/Summit and Seminar was Innovation, cooperation and Development-- Opportunities & Challenges of FPD Industry in China . Representatives from well-known enterprises like Samsung Electronics, TCL, LGD, BOE, Tokyo Electron, Hefei Lucky Science & Technology Industry, Marubeni Corporation, as well as scholars and specialists from Korea Kyung Hee University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Dai Nippon Printing, Touch Panel Laboratories Co., Ltd., Beijing Institute of Technology, BOE Technical Center, FUK Division of Market Development attended the summit and in depth discussed the opportunities and challenges of China FPD industry and shared the latest industry information on management and technologies from all over the world.
At the summit, both domestic and overseas enterprises probed the current status and development bottleneck of FPD industry in China. At present, there is no doubt that the development center of FPD industry has transferred to mainland China, which has been the hot spot of the investment of FPD industry. FPD industry has been a new industry of strategic importance with certain scale in mainland China, affirmed by the State Council. However, the FPD industrial scale is relatively small and weak, and lack of core technology as well as the localization of FPD industry chain, which restrict the development of FPD industry in mainland China. Some industry-related people indicate that urgently needs breakthrough on some key technology, deep cooperation among enterprises in the industrial chain and the enhancement of the competitiveness of FPD industry in mainland.
Apart from probing the industry development problems, all the participants also shared the cutting edge like manufacturing processes, new technology, new products from all over the world.
And both domestic and overseas specialists shared new research achievement and probed the problems of TFT Technologies for AMOLED, 3D Display Technology and Application, Recent Development Trends in Touch Panels and etc.
FPD International China provides a high-level communication platform for China FPD industry, to the benefit of win-win cooperation between enterprises on the supply chain upstream and downstream. FPD International China was held in Beijing for the first time this year, and it will extend its scale in future. Staff from China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association LCD Branch indicated that they will continue to play the role as the bridge between stakeholders, set up more multiple communication platforms to push forward the development of China FPD industry.
