BOE Won Several Prizes on CSR

2010 CSR (China) Leaders Forum, with Responsibility China Wins Respect as its theme, was held in Beijing on January 17th, 2011. As the leading company in the TFT-LCD industry in Mainland China, BOE was awarded the prizes of Technological Innovation and Green Enterprise .
BOE has long been holding the idea of design for the environment , devoting to the R&D and manufacturing of low-carbon products, and striving to be an environment-friendly corporate citizen. BOE has passed the environmental management system certification of ISO14001 and took the lead in implementing the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct within the industry. From LED backlight technology, 47-inch dynamic LED TFT-LCD display products, to the green and energy-saving display series of GOA and COG, BOE s concept of manufacture which is characterized by environmental protection and low carbon is displayed sufficiently. Especially, BOE G8.5 Line adopted such advanced environment-friendly technologies as the Lunar Solar Power System and regenerated water system. As the leading company in the TFT-LCD industry in Mainland China, every year BOE applies for about 500 new patents and boasts a G4.5 line in Chengdu, a G5 line in Beijing, and a G6 line in Hefei. The G8.5 line in Beijing will be put into operation in the first half of 2011.
The selection is initiated by ENNWeekly of Xinhua News Agency, together with BTV, JRJ.com, etc., aiming at commending and exhibiting the achievements and innovations of enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibility. Well-known domestic and foreign enterprises, including Intel, DOW, LG, Lenovo, Samsung and Canon are included in the list.
