Recently, Ministry of Science and Technology approved establishing "National Polyurethane Engineering Research Center" within 3 years based on Yantai Wanhua. National Engineering Research Center is a key part not only of China National Scientific and Technological Development Plan, but that of the R&D condition capacity construction as well. It is aimed at promoting the development of industries and pushing forward the upgrading of traditional industries. By focusing on promotion of the industry technology upgrading of main polyurethane materials, solving key technical problems restricting the greening, high performance and sustainable development of polyurethane industry, enhancing the energy-saving and emission reduction for the related downstream sectors of polyurethane and development of recycling economy, the "National Polyurethane Engineering Research Center" will implement the engineering and technology research and development, and construction of R&D platform. The settlement of "National Polyurethane Engineering Technology Research Center" in Yantai Wanhua is of great significance both for the company's development and technology progress of polyurethane industry nationwide.
