On 27 September 2008, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid for Second-Seventh Yangtze River Bridge project. The contract value amounted to RMB890 million, with construction period of 36 months.
The bridge, located at 3.2km lower from Wuhan Second Yangtze River Bridge, is the 7th bridge crossing the Yangtze River. It is 6307m long in total with dual three-lane and three-pylon cable-stayed.
