Sinopec Inspection Group Inspects YCFs Security and Environment

From August 25 to 28, the 4th group of Sinopec security and environment protection inspection over refining-chemical enterprises conducted a 4-day inspection concerning YCF's security and environment. During the inspection, the inspection group was sub-divided into six groups specialized in comprehensive management, hidden troubles treatment, security and environment, equipment management, electrical apparatus management as well as fire & gas accident protection.

Those special groups inspected YCF's relevant organ departments, offices and grassroots units by ways of debriefing, centralized examinations, examining records, on-site inspection, on-site questions, inspecting night sentries and joint maneuver. The group listened to reports on YCF's work in security and environment this year, and then tested the security knowledge of some middle management and professionals of YCF and its affiliated units; some forefront employees were spot-checked concerning "Safety Production Ban", contingency plan, fire & gas accident protection knowledge as well as equipment usages, etc.

Inspection of night sentries was organized on-site emergency treatment over equipment failures was conducted, and the comprehensive maneuver of fire & gas accident protection and water pollution precaution was carried out towards the No. 208 glycol tank at the overall tank area of the PTA centre.

At the summarization and comment meeting of Sinopec security and environment inspection on the morning of August 28, YCF Leader Qing Hengge required all centres and relevant departments to pay high attention to the problems discovered in the inspection, draw inferences about other cases from one instance and implement rectification as soon as possible, to further reinforce the safety production responsibility system.

In accordance with the comment meeting, all work of security and environment will be rigorously done under high standards to ensure YCF's detailed, stringent and practical security and environment. Thus, the security management level will be further improved so as to achieve YCF's all targets of production, operation, reform and development this year.

Cheng Lei, Deputy Leader of the inspection group, made a summarized comment on the inspection on behalf of the inspection group. YCF General Manager Xiao Weizhen delivered a speech at the comment meeting on behalf of YCF management.
