Methane Electricity Generation of Power Production Center Creates A New High

Methane electricity generation and the operation ratio of the generating units in the Power Production Center have created a new high. From Oct. 26 to Nov. 25, the 2 biogas generator sets generated 569,000 KWH, and the monthly operation ratio of the generating units reached 97.5%, creating a new high.

Since being put into operation, the highest monthly operation ratio of the generating units was only about 80%. To improve the operation ratio of the generating units, the Power Production Center, from the perspective of environmental protection, energy saving and benefit, organized staff of the biogas power station to overcome the difficulties like small-volume biogas and unacquaintance with equipment functions, creating a new record.

According to the biogas pressure, they adjusted unit output at any time and conducted drainage regularly, which guaranteed a smooth gas path. Meanwhile, they also did a good job in equipment maintenance and strengthened coordination with sewage treatment process. Besides, they improved the appraisal system of teams and groups, linking the power generation with performance award and mobilizing the enthusiasm of the operating personnel.

As of Nov. 25, the 2 generating units had accumulatively generated electricity of 2 million KWH, adding 0.8 million yuan benefit for YCF (calculated according to 0.4 yuan/KWH).
