During 2009 CUMCM (China University Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling) Shanxi Provision, NUC students won 5 items of 1st Prize, 6 items of 2nd Prize, 4 items of 3rd Prize.
18 teams, about 54 students from NUC colleges and schools attended the contest, among the 400 teams in Shanxi Province.
Sponsored by Ministry of Education and the Society of Industry and Applied Mathematics of China, CUMCM, one of the largest extracurricular science and technology activities in universities, is of great significance for training students' creative thinking, and plays an important role in promoting the reform of mathematics teaching mode.
