lMarch 9- Pro. Eulogio Zamalloa Sota from San Ignacio de Loyola University Peru visited GDUFS and met with teachers as well as some graduate students in the Spanish Department. Pro. Eulogio also lectured about his impression of China, linguistic teaching and offered tips on the most efficient way to learn Spanish literature.

l March 11- The Xinhua News Agency Guangdong Division signed an agreement with GDUFS for AGNS (Asian Games News Service ) cooperation. Xinhua News Agency will be the official news service of the 16th Asian Games which will be held in Guangzhou in November this year. GDUFS will provide approximately 500 teachers and students to join the news service.

lMarch 11- Led by Consul General Pisanu Suvanajata, a delegation from the Consulate of Thailand in Guangzhou visited GDUFS. President of GDUFS Sui Guangjun attended the reception and talked with General Pisanu Suvanajata about holding a Sino-Thai academic seminar. They hope that through various cooperative efforts China and Thailand will both enjoy great future success.

lMarch 12- A symphony concert for the 7th Culture & Arts Festival GDUFS was staged in the Xinghai Concert Hall. Ye Yongshi was the conductor of the concert. The whole concert included seven symphonies from famous musicians like Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. This is the fourth time that GDUFS Youth League and Xinghai Concert Hall have worked together to provide the students with musical entertainment.

lMarch 12- It's a tough war for students who took the art entrance exam in the southern campus, just for an opportunity to study in the College of Art, GDUFS. According to statistics, about 1000 students, mostly accompanied by their parents, attended the exam. However, only 90 will be admitted.

lMarch 13- Vice-President Yves Sahinguvu of The Republic of Burundi visited GDUFS, accompanied by his wife, Ntagunduka Jacqueline and some other officials. President Sui Gungjun said he was looking forward to establishing cooperation with universities in Burundi. Both sides exchanged their points of view on different subjects.
