lGDUFS's first ever opening ceremony for MTCSOL (Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) postgraduates was held on September 11th. GDUFS Vice President Shi Youqi attended and addressed the ceremony. Also in attendance were officials from the Postgraduate Department, International Office, Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, and many overseas students.
lA closing ceremony was successfully held on September 11th to mark the end of the summer camp attended by the Confucius Institute at SapporoUniversity. In attendance were Mr. Gao, the Dean of Confucius Institute at SapporoUniversity, and Mr. Liang, the Dean of Institute of Education for International Students. The summer camp lasted from August 28th to September 9th, during which time its 26 participants partook in Chinese language and culture courses.
lA student delegation from I-Shou University arrived at GDUFS on August 24th. They were warmly welcomed by GDUFS Vice President Zhong Weihe and Jiao Fangtai, director of GDUFS International Office. The delegation is the first one sent to GDUFS by I-ShouUniversity to take part in the exchange program which lasted from August 24th to September 20th.
lCPC Secretary Xu Zhenhua attended the second China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in Guiyang, capital city of GuizhouProvince. About 300 representatives were in attendance from 27 ASEAN universities and 43 Chinese universities. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Guizhou city government to promote educational cooperation and exchange between China and the ASEAN countries.
lA closing ceremony was held for the GDUFS - Confucius Institute at UralUniversity summer camp. Dean Sergey of the Confucius Institute and GDUFS Vice President Fang Fanquan were in attendance. This three-week summer camp was the first one at GDUFS where leaders, teachers and students from the Confucius Institute of Ural University took courses in Chinese language and culture.
