lGDUFS president, Professor Sui Guangjun, visited Korea May 30 to June 3 to meet with the Korea Foundation, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Sungshin Women's University, the Academy of Korean Studies, Ewha Women's University, and the National Academy of Korean Language.

lA delegation from Harding University, consisting of Professor Bryan Burks, dean of the College of Business Administration, Professor Milo Hadwin of the American Studies Institute, and Mr. Peng Changzheng, in charge of Harding s China Program, visited GDUFS on June 2 to discuss future cooperation with GDUFS Vice-president Gu Yeli.

lThe Confucius Institute located at Russia s Ural State University hosted its first Chinese Day on May 23. Over 50 students from various universities in the Ural area took part. The activity consisted of a Chinese language competition, an exhibition of traditional Chinese culture, and videos about traditional Chinese culture.

lMs. Jodie Richter, from the Department of International Admissions for the schools of Business, Law, and Economics at the University of Queensland, was invited to GDUFS to lecture on preparations for studying in Australia.
