September 25 - On September 23, the Third Academy Committee Conference of the Centre for Linguistic and Applied Linguistics (CLAL), one of the one hundred Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences in Universities in China, was held on the north campus of GDUFS. President Zhong Weihe attended the conference and the high-level academic discussion on the development of CLAL.
On September 21, a banquet was held for the new professors and teachers to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Day at GDUFS. CPC Secretary Sui Guangjun attended the banquet to deliver his best wishes and care for the new teaching force.
On September 20, a symposium on education exchanges between Taiwan and mainland China was held by United Front representatives at GDUFS. In attendance were CPC Secretary Sui Guangjun, representatives of Taiwan people, overseas Chinese and of democratic parties in China.
On September 19, a steering meeting on teaching and supervising was chaired by Vice-President Liu Jianda on the north campus of GDUFS. All teaching staff, supervisors and some academic administration staff attended the meeting to discuss teaching and supervising for the new semester.
