May 24 - The overview meeting of "Tour and Observe Confucius Institutes" was held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Fang Fanxuan, Vice President of GUDFS, together with Jiao Fangtai, Director of the International Office and Li Yukun, Dean of College of Arts attended the meeting. Mr. Fang made conclusions concerning the tour performances in the Confucius Institute in Gorky Ural State University last year and gave further suggestions for better communication and exchange programs.
May 25 - SIFE-GDUFS brought home a second at the Xinfei SIFE 2010 China International Competition in Shanghai. 49 teams hailing from different universities in China entered the finals. Led by Xie Xiulan, GUDFS Vice Secretary of Youth League, SIFE-GDUFS worked their way into the finals with their fluent English presentation.
May 27 - A meeting was held to discuss the modification projects of GDUFS Asian Games Venues on south campus. Xiao Bo, Chief of Equipment Department of Asian Games Organized Committee, and Lin Shaona, Principal of GDUFS Asian Games Venues attended the meeting. They discussed solutions to the recent problems during the reconstruction to the venues and what further modification is needed.
May 27 - GDUFS President Zhong Weihe visited Cao Deming, President of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and Wu Yougui, Secretary of SISU after taking part in academic activities in Shanghai. Looking back at the history of both universities, they look forward to further cooperation in the areas of scientific research and educational training.
