Two Alumni Won 2007 China Top Ten Wise Business People

On Dec 15th, the 2007 China Top Ten Wise Businesspeople award ceremony i.e. the book launch of The 4th China Business Elites, was held solemnly in Diao Yutai State Hotel. Xu Jialu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Honorable President of Beijing Cultural Development Research Institute attended the ceremony and addressed the opening speech.

In the ceremony, Wang Hongsen, an alumnus of SIFT and general manager of Sinosteel India Ltd was awarded the 2007 China Top Ten Wise Businesspeople . He won this prize mainly because of his creative management philosopy, the localization strategy, and his efforts in expanding the overseas steel resources. All of these made the company a good example of stepping out . He adhered to win-win cooperation and strategic partnership building, which enriched the company with great development scope and contributed to the economic and cultural communication between China and India.

In the individual prizes, SIFT alumna Chen Yunwei was awarded the Great Contributor of the 2007 China Top Ten Wise Businesspeople . Once, she was elevated from an employee to a shareholder in a Japanese group in such a short period. She also helped NIC Group to seek to list in New York and raised a hundred million dollars in a single day. Added to that, after returning from abroad, she spent just three years starting the first financing lease company in China, which was by far the largest in terms of finances. She is an outstanding woman with innovative spirit and ability.
