On September 17th, four people from the Economics Department of Shizuoka University in Japan visited the Department of Japanese Language of SIFT.
Supported by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Shizuoka University together with other three universities in Japan has started to establish postgraduate education bases, expected to be officially launched in 2011. With a view to conducting future cooperation, this visit aims at giving the Japanese delegation a general idea of the Department of Japanese Language of SIFT, especially its graduates employability and further education.
Wang Guanglin, dean of the School of Foreign Languages, briefly introduced SIFT and the School in his meeting with the Japanese delegation. He expressed his hope to promote exchanges with universities in Japan by implementing feasible plans. The two sides also exchanged views on such issues as student exchanges and curriculum design.
