Delegation from The Northern State University visited SIFT

On March, 4th, an eight-person delegation from The Northern State University (NSU) headed by its President Dr James Smith and Dr Willard Broucek, dean of its Business School, visited SIFT. Wu Kemin, director of SIFT Executive Board, Xu Dongfeng, director of the International Affairs Office and Qiu Guixi, dean of the International Studies School met with the guests.

SIFT maintains a long-term cooperative relationship with NSU. SIFT sends students to NSU every autumn semester. Among all the exchange programs, SIFT-NSU program involves the largest number of students, who have benefited a lot from their study and life in NSU. NSU teachers are deeply impressed by SIFT students English skills, overall competence and performance in social activities.

During the visit, the two sides had a further discussion about the cooperation in student exchange program and other related issues. In particular, they exchanged views on increasing the number of exchange students and the possibility of spring semester exchange program. After the meeting, the NSU delegation met the students of last year s exchange program and those who intend to apply for the program this year.

The delegation gave a detailed introduction of the program and answered questions raised by the students. With banking and financial services as its key majors, NSU is among the Best 100 ROI American universities.
