The 10th anniversary of the Language School Sino-British program celebrated

On the morning of October 14th, the opening ceremony of the 10th anniversary of the Language School Sino-British program, as well as the orientation ceremony of 2010-2011 academic years, was held in conference room 507 in the Information Building. Wang Guanglin, dean of Language School, hosted the ceremony.

Cai Shengze, associate consultant with the Shanghai Education Commission, Wu Kemin, director of SIFT administration committee, SIFT president Sun Haiming, vice-president Chen Jie, vice-president Xu Xiaowei leadership of SIFT schools, Pi Naian, former director of school administration committee of SIFT, Brian Harris, Chair of the board of University of Central Lancashire(UClan), Dr. Malcolm McVicar, UClan president, Angela Murphy, UClan vice-president attended the ceremony.

Wu Kemin, director of SIFT administration committee, and Brian Harris, Chair of the board of University of Central Lancashire, touched the electronic sphere and declared the opening of the 10th anniversary celebration. They gave remarks respectively and exchanged gifts. It started the next glorious development of the joint program. Wang Guanglin, dean of Language School, announced the names of scholarship winners, who were awarded by the leadership from the two universities.

Salutatorian on behalf of the scholarship winners and alumnus addressed at the ceremony, expressing their gratitude to the universities and the joint program. At last, Cai Shengze with the Shanghai Education Commission delivered his remarks, looking into the prospect of the program. The ceremony ended in a warm atmosphere.
