Delegation from University of East London visited SIFT

On the morning of Sep 25th, a three-person delegation from the University of East London headed by John Shaw, its vice president in charge of international affairs visited SIFT. Xu Xiaowei, vice president of SIFT, met with the delegation. The two sides introduced the current situation and development of each university and had a discussion about the possibility of cooperation in mutual recognition of credits, short-term students exchange and internship, faculty visits and so on.

Both sides wanted to put the agreement into practice as soon as possible and start substantive activities of academic exchange. John Shaw also expressed sincere congratulations on coming 50th anniversary of SIFT.

Wang Guanglin, dean of Language School, Nie Qing, dean of Business School, Ling Jie, deputy dean of Finance School, Qiu Guixi, dean of International Studies School, Yang Xiaoyan, deputy-director of Post-Degree Training Centre and Xu Dongfeng, director of International Affairs Office also attended the meeting.

Boasting superior location, convenient transportation and modern facility, the University of East London has eight schools, namely Business School, Law School, Humanities and Social Science School, Computer and Information Technology Engineering School, Architecture and Visual Arts School, Education School, Health and Biological Science School and Psychology School. About 23,000 students are studying in the University.
