Delegation Led by Deputy Chief Whip of ANC Visited SIFT

On May 2nd, a delegation of 5 people led by Mr. Gratitude Magwanishe, Deputy Chief Whip of African National Congress of South Africa (ANC) paid a visit to SIFT. Xu Xiaowei, SIFT vice president met with the guests.

Mr. Magwanishe is taking the opportunity of visiting Shanghai and the Expo 2010 to visit universities with specialties in trade and business and to seek cooperation between relevant universities in the South Africa and those in China. Mr. Magwanishe visited SIFT at the recommendation of the South Africa Chinese General Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

He intended to recommend SIFT to his alma mater and hoped that the two universities could cooperate in student and faculty exchanges and scientific research. He said that faculties from the two universities would be endowed with promising perspective in such fields since China s rapid economic development and developing mode has given great inspiration to the economic take-off South Africa.

Vice-president Xu Xiaowei gave an introduction on SIFT and exchanging programs in SIFT and welcomed relevant universities in the South Africa to cooperate with SIFT.

Nie Qing, Dean of SIFT International Business School , Wang Guanglin, dean of SIFT School of Languages, Xu Yonglin, dean of SIFT Finance School, Qiu Guixi, dean of SIFT International Studies and Xu Dongfeng, director of SIFT International Exchange Office were also present at the meeting.
