The First Poem Recitation Competition For Overseas Students

The first Poem Recitation Competition for overseas students was held in the multifunction classroom of School of International Studies on Gubei Campus. The competition had two sessions, attracting 30 students from France, Japan and 5 other countries. Qiu Guixi, Dean of School of International Studies, and 7 other teachers were present at the competition as commentators. Tanya and other 4 overseas students outstood in the fierce competition.

The overseas students have been studying Chinese in SIFT School of International Studies. With accurate pronunciation and thorough understanding of the poems, they recited many famous ancient and modern Chinese poems. Dean Qiu Guixi spoke highly of their performance, saying that this competition tested students Chinese language proficiency and inspired their passion for learning Chinese. He also hoped that students make unremitting efforts to learn Chinese and Chinese culture to further understand China.
