President Yu Shicheng attended 2009 Shanghai International Shipping Forum

The 2009 Shanghai International Shipping Forum was held in Shanghai on July 18th. Prof. Yu Shicheng, President of SMU attended the forum and gave the opening speech. The themes of the forum are Financial Crisis and the Development of Shipping Industry; Economic Cycle and Shipping Investment Analysis.

Mr. Tong, Xuewei, Vice Business General Manager of the Bank of Communications, Mr. Yahalom Sam, Director of Transport and Logistics Research Center of State University of New York Maritime College and Mr. Ma Shuo, Vice President of World Maritime University addressed during the forum and some 170 administrators and researchers from nationwide shipping enterprises and port companies also expressed their own opinions.

It was organized jointly by Shanghai International Shipping Research Institute, the People s Government of Hongkou District and China Ports and Harbors Association, co-organized by American Society of Transportation and Logistics and Shanghai Association of Productivity Science.
