Mokwon University Delegation Visits CNU

Write: Tallis [2011-05-20]

On the afternoon of January 17, 2007, a delegation of ten people from Mokwon University in South Korea came to CNU with their vice president Kang Byeong-gil. Accompanying them were six students from the College of Music of CNU. They had just finished a three-month study exchange at Mokwon, and traveled back with the delegation.
Vice president Gong Huili and Liu Xiaotian, dean of the College of International Education , met the delegation in the International Culture Building. Professor Gong first gave them a warm welcome and told them a little about our university. He also warmly welcomed back the six students who had been studying at Mokwon, and thanked Mokwon sincerely for the care and help they gave to the six. Professor Kang of Mokwon thanked CNU for looking after them so well, and gave a very positive assessment of the six visiting students.
CNU signed an agreement with Mokwon last year, and Zhang Shuai and the other five students from the College of Music were the first group of exchange students to go to Mokwon. They left on September 6 last year for their overseas study in Korea. While being there they listened carefully to their instructors, worked hard and kept focused. Under the careful guidance of the many instructors and famous dancers at Mokwon, they completed a semester of courses in just three months. They received very positive assessments from the university. The six students all qualified for entry into postgraduate courses at Mokwon, and one student was awarded with a full-fee scholarship to Mokwon. In March this year, CNU will be sending another five students from the College of Music to Mokwon. As the exchange develops, the range of areas in which the universities work together is sure to expand.
