Capital Normal University launches its first Teaching Research Week

The event is aimed at enhancing the quality of talent training and strengthening the construction of undergraduate faculties . The purpose is to fully implement the spirit of remarks by General Party Secretary Hu Jintao on the National Roundtable of Representatives of Outstanding Teachers, carry out the Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Further Deepening of Undergraduate Teaching Reform and All-round Improvement of Teaching Quality , further establish the central status of teaching, deepen the research on teaching reform, improve the construction of faculties, keep improving teachers understanding of the importance of talent training quality and teaching research and make efforts to achieve sustained and steady improvement of teaching quality.

The Teaching Research Week lasts from September 18 to September 27. It shall focus on the revision of new round of undergraduate training plans and themes such as research on the model of faculty building and talent training , teaching reform and course construction , quality control of teaching , etc. to conduct various events such as expert s lectures, special lectures, on-campus workshops, young teacher workshop as well as faculty discussions.

On September 18, the first Teaching Research Week was opened. Zhang Xue, Party Sceretary of the Capital Normal University, Gong Huili, Deputy President, and Zhou Mansheng, Deputy Director of the National Education Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education attended.
