The Remarkable Achievement of CNU in Introducing Overseas High-level Talents

In 2009, in order to carry out The Opinions on the Implementation of Introducing Overseas High-level Talents Issued by Central Coordinating Group for Talent Introduction, the Party Committee in our university gave instructions for talent introduction, required us to seize the opportunity and take an international view to bring in talents, which particularly emphasized on intensifying the efforts to bring in overseas high-level talents and do Global Recruitment .

At the request of the Party Committee, Personnel Department has finished Global Recruitment by coordinating with relevant departments and announced the success of Professor Xiao Wei s selection into the second batch of One-thousand-talent Program organized by Central Government and Professor Li Legong s selection into Beijing Municipal Overseas Talents-gathering Program , the first batch of Overseas High-level Talents Plan. One-thousand-talent Program and Overseas Talents gathering Program belong to Beijing Municipal Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan which is implemented by the Talents Bureau of Central Organization Department and the Personnel Division of the Ministry of Education. The plan is a major strategic arrangement made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. The overseas talents who are selected to One-thousand-talent Program and Overseas Talents-gathering Program will receive strong supports and obtain the corresponding rewards from the government. The rewards are used in improving overseas talents working and living conditions after they return home from abroad. Professor Xiao Wei and Professor Li Legong s selection into One-thousand-talent Program and Overseas Talents-gathering Program respectively symbolizes that our university has made great progress in introducing overseas high-level talents and will further intensify our efforts to introduce overseas high-level talents in the future and strive for making our university a high-standard normal university with distinctive features.
