On the afternoon of May 13, the Global Middle School Headmasters delegation , totally 45 people, visited Jinan University. Prof. Jia Yimin, vice president of the university received the delegation and gave them a brief introduction of JNU. In the welcome speech, Vice President Jia also updated the guests with the latest progress of China s preparation for the Olympic Games and the torch relay.
The guests expressed their congratulation for the upcoming events, their admiration for China s progress in economic and social development and their condolence for the earthquake which happened the day before in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province.
The members of the delegation are from middle schools in 13 countries and regions. They are attending the Global Christian Schools Network Conference 2008 in Guangzhou. During the meeting, they showed great interest in the Chinese language teaching of our university and expressed their wish to cooperate with JNU in this field. After the meeting, the delegation members visited the School History Exhibition as well as the library and highly regarded the long history and the modern teaching facilities of the university
