2010 cross Strait Interpretation Competition South China Sub-division held in our university

The 2010 Cross-Strait Interpretation Competition---- South China Area Competition, undertaken by Foreign Lanuguage Teaching & Research and the College of Foreign Studies of our university, was held on April 30. 48 students from unversities in South China, such as Sun Yatsan University, South China University of Technologies, Xiamen University and Jinan University etc competed for the 3 quotas for final compeitions to be held in the mainland.

Mr. Jiang Shuzhuo, vice president of our unversity said when he delivering a speech that english as a very important tool for exchanges and communications with the outside world, the significant of which was more than a tool or an ability to us but a key to open the door to the outside world. It broadened our horizens and widened our sight, he said.
