Macao enterprises seek business opportunity in Las Vegas apparel sourcing show

A group of Macao apparel manufacturers, organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), has participated in the ASAP (Apparel Sourcing Association Pavilion) Global Sourcing Show in Las Vegas, U.S. and successfully received a number of orders, the IPIM said here on Thursday.

The orders received by the Macao manufacturers have a total value of 7.2 million patacas (911,000 U.S. dollars), while orders in talks were worth 11 million patacas (1.39 million dollars), according to the IPIM.

The ASAP Global Sourcing Show, debuted in February 2002, is now widely regarded as the authority in international apparel sourcing tradeshows, which was participated by exhibitors mainly from the Chinese mainland, Macao, Pakistan, India.

The IPIM said it set up a 45-square-meter exhibition area at the show, where Macao products were showcased to global buyers, and introduced to the world Macao's business environment and upcoming MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference, Exhibition) events.
