Subversive fashion
International fashion brand Anna Sui released its new collection for 2007 spring and summer, which combines 18th century style with a punk attitude, outwardly traditional with an undercurrent of subversion. There are fabric mixes of eyelash lace, faux patent, metallic tweed and slashed mesh. Prints are widely used, such as bandanas, polka dots, and radiating stars. Details include cascading ruffles, zigzag pleating, draped bodices, scarf necklines and Byzantine gemstone beading.
