The percent of US cotton exported to China decrease

The report from US Agriculture council show that as the traditional biggest cotton supply country for China, US cotton account for 52% of China cotton import. However, Since 2005/2006, the average percent of US cotton among China cotton import is only 40% and is declining continually to only 25% in January. In this year, nearly all competitors win market percent. Africa, Australia and India is the biggest winner whose total export in 2005/2006 account for 42% of world cotton export and keep in 28% since 1995. One factor for above change is that the cotton exported from other areas is 85% more than any years in last 15yeas. In the meantime, the demand of cotton in traditional market including China begin to decrease ,the same is the other market but China cotton import is increasing since the end of 2003.
