On April.25, EU committee and enterprises hold high-class meeting in Brussels to discuss how to accelerate tuning EU textile & fashion industry to challenge. It is known that the representatives are mainly come from EU official, industry organization, member, local government and enterprise. EU councilor, EURATEX, the secretary-general of EU textile association, the chairman of EU Labour Union League textile & feather branch deliver the speech in the meeting. The representatives from France, Italy etc introduce their successful experience to face challenge.
The commissioner of EU committee industry & enterprise branch present in the meeting that the revival of this field is slower than anticipated due to complicated market environment and unemployment. He indicated that every manufacture procedure covering knitting, tatting and slopwork production have been impacted in last several years. He also emphasize that politics can not increase job , however, industry policy can play an important role in building active organization and promote economy prosperity
Four plans are as follows:
1.Struggle for better market admission opportunity for EU enterprise.
2.Remove non-tariff wall in the underway WTO negotiation.
3. Perform intellect property right rule strictly.
4. Speed building trade area of EU-Med.
It is claimed that the capital support for depressed area offer an opportunity to face future challenge. Besides, other plan including "the project of competition capability and creation"oriented to improve competition capability will be delivered one after another. He said:"We can not forget that EU is still the world biggest textile supplier. Textile & fashion industry have the ability to maintain its important status in EU industry. "
