Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and leading textile industry organizations opened a certification symposium and product exhibition to boost sales worldwide of advanced textiles made by Taiwanese companies.
The event is jointly held by Department of Industrial Technology (DIT) and Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection (BSMI) under MOEA as well as Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) and Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI).
An exhibition of Testing and Certification on Functional and Technical Textiles will continue for a full day at International Conference Center of National Taiwan University at No. 2 Hsuchou Road in Taipei City, today.
Taiwan Certification - Worldwide Marketing, is the major theme of the seminar and exhibition.
Experts were invited to deliver speeches and companies supplying certified textile products will share their experiences.

The process enables textile companies to easily win Accreditation and Certification from international organizations and ship their products to overseas markets at earlier date.
Lin Neng-chung, Chairman of Committee for Conformity Assessment on Accreditation and Certification said MOEA has upgraded half a dozen of them to level of Chinese National Standards (CNS).
About 14 functional textile products, 10 sets of criteria for various categories of advanced technical textile products, and 24 sets of functional criteria were on display.
Items include textiles related to antibacterial, antifungal, antistatic, antiviolet, electromagnetic shielding and functions.
