Resurgence in textile exports to US & EU

According to the General Administration of Customs (GAC), Chinas textile exports to the United States and the European Union in March arrived at US $1.32 billion and $1.44 billion, up 20 percent and 33.2 percent respectively, as compared to same period in 2005.
Statistics were pressed up by a boost in the amount of textiles exported which did not come under the quota limitations forced by the US and the EU.
Inevitably exports of textile goods that were affected by the limits fell by a hefty margin.
Chinas exports of textile and clothes in March came to $10.54 billion , a 33.9 percent increase. However, in February, the nations textile exports to the US and the EU fell 13.3 percent and 9.2 percent correspondingly, from the last year.
Countrys import and export of textiles and garments in March accounted for $12.1 billion, representing a 29.4 percent rise over the same month previous year and with an excess of $8.97 billion up 40.4 percent.
Export of textile supplies to Korea, Russia and Canada sustained to ascend to become the dynamic force of the countrys exports.
