Trade relationship between China and Bangladesh has been strongly cemented during the past few years as the two sides have signed many joint ventures promoting textile business.
Governments of both countries have found profitable solutions in collaboration rather than vying with each other in the global marketplace.
Under proposed joint ventures, Chinese textile enterprises can build factories in Bangladesh, and export textile products to the US and EU.
Labour cost in Bangladesh is as low as US $0.25 per hour, which is an advantage to Chinese investors.
At present, both sides are exploring more opportunities within this sector to tap international markets.
