Jeans exports to the US account for 74 percent of total trousers exports turnover of Vietnam in January July 2006, representing year-on-year surge of 77 and 41 percent in terms of volume and value, respectively.
Average exporting price of goods in the period climbed to $5.4 per set, recording annual rise of three percent.
The US market is expected to open up many more export opportunities for the domestic manufacturers, as China is under quota mechanism.
Another reason for expecting big orders is that Asian major competitor, India, is struggling to cope with the inadequate availability of materials for jeans garment products.
