YEAR 2006 HIGHLIGHTS:
Wholesale revenues increased + 11% to Euro 2 billion following strong growth across all geographic areas, product lines and lifestyle brands:
•Rest of the World +21%; Europe +11%; North America +10%; Far East +9%
• Jewellery +41%; Eyewear +20%; Watches +17%; Fragrances and Cosmetics +14%; Home Furnishings +13%; Accessories +15%; Apparel +7%
• Armani Junior +26%; A/X Armani Exchange +17%; Giorgio Armani +15%; Emporio Armani +14%; Armani Collezioni +6%; Armani Jeans +1%
Giorgio Armani S.p.A. announces its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2006, which show that its unique multi-brand fashion and lifestyle strategy is generating significant growth across all geographic regions, product categories and lifestyle brands with consequent substantial increases in the company’s revenues and profitability. The value of the Giorgio Armani Group’s worldwide retail sales in 2006 can be estimated at over Euro 5 billion.
In the year 2006, Wholesale Revenues increased +11% to Euro 2,064 million, while Consolidated Revenues rose +9% to Euro 1,474 million with EBITDA increasing +15% to Euro 300 million (representing a margin of 20% of Consolidated Net Revenues) and EBIT rising +19% to Euro 246 million. The company’s Net Financial position remains strong with a positive balance of Euro 264 million at the year end, following a capital investment programme of Euro 103 million.
