The individual platform for the denim and streetwear sector in Düsseldorf (working title: D-Unit) is continuing to gain momentum: as of 1 May, Mark McGuire (41) is switching to the Düsseldorf Igedo Company.
Along with Project Manager Angelika Grammozi and her sales team, McGuire will play a key part in moving forward the conceptional development of the progressive, young segment on the Rhine. Prior to his switch to Düsseldorf, Mark McGuire worked, among others, for five years as Director Marketing for BREAD & butter GmbH in Berlin.
“In Mark McGuire we have been able to secure the services of an experienced top man for our project, who with his creative and unconventional ideas, will give the progressive segment at our Exhibition Centre the necessary lift”, explained Igedo CEO Frank Hartmann.
“Mark is an absolute sector insider and also knows how fairs work. He is thus the ideal man to take over this post.” “Düsseldorf is an extremely attractive location for the sector."
I believe that the concept of establishing an independent platform for the young segment within the framework of the Igedo Fashion Fairs will open up many perspectives.
"I am looking forward to the new tasks and am sure that the Igedo Company will provide an optimum trade andcommunication platform for progressive, authentic labels”, said Mark McGuire.
The new segment will receive a completely individual concept within Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf. An initial presentation for the new ideas has been planned for the forthcoming summer event (22 to 24 July 2007).
Mark McGuire commented on this: “A fantastic challenge and great responsibility which requires a farsighted approach also as far as details are concerned. And with the team and the knowhow in Düsseldorf I have a good basis for this.”
