India : Textile park likely to employ 4000 weavers

After the sale of Azam Jahi Mills, large number of workers belonging to different political parties demonstrated their protest. Following this incident, district administration of Warangal has sketched a plan to provide jobs to 4,000 weavers, who lost employment.
Local administration is setting up a textile park on 30 acres of land of former Azam Jahi Mills property.
The proposed park would be set up with a projected cost of Rs12.80 crore. About 150 industrialists have agreed to establish power looms, garment units, mini spinning mills and processing units.
Sources from textile department disclosed that the State Government has released Rs49.50 crore to build compound wall and for infrastructure development of textile park.
