2nd Prime Source Forum Concluded on 30 March 2007
With buyers insisting upon better products being made available faster and cheaper, and sellers striving to provide still more services at lower costs, global supply chain challenges have never been greater.
Concerns over threatened protectionist measures, environmental and social responsibility issues, all within the context of a rapidly evolving retail landscape, underline the difficulties ahead, even while technical developments and educational initiatives offer potential stability.
These themes were the subject of this year's Prime Source Forum successfully held on 29-30 March 2007 in Hong Kong as 37 industry leaders and specialists from the US, Europe and Asia shared their experiences and recommendations with more than 300 delegates from 23 countries and regions.
The Forum, first developed in 2006, has earned the reputation of a "must attend" event for senior apparel industry supply chain executives. While the complexities of current issues and challenges defy "silver bullet" remedies, much is gained from airing concerns within an atmosphere of open collaboration.
Prime Source Forum 2008 is scheduled for April 1st and 2nd, 2008, in Hong Kong. Mark the Dates!
