Proenza Schouler’s vision of womenswear for next winter can easily be described as a showcase for “ladies in tweed”. Blazers, jackets, coats, dusters, sweatshirts, tops, skirts, mini-pants, trousers, bomber jackets, all in tweed.
Young fans of this brand grace downtown high-society with their refined charm; wearing high-necked silk garments with constructed shoulders and dramatically high-heeled shoes, made in Italy by Giuseppe Zanotti. Carefully tailored and crafted garments and colour combinations (magenta and black, midnight blue and black, pine green and black).
Everyone applauds the show’s finale, with its 38 models and Stefano Sassi, MD of the Valentino Fashion Group.
“These two young men are really good and are doing an excellent job,” the manager tells MFF, “we are currently supporting them through the manufacturing stage, in order to guarantee product quality.”
Valentino Fashion Group S.p.A. owns 45% of US brand Proenza Schouler.
