For 16 seasons, Vancouver Fashion Week has injected the West Coast with a dose of glamour, inspiration and international flair.
Organizers invite you to join in the excitement from March 24th to 29th for Vancouver Fashion Week – Spring 2009. The week will showcase Fall/Winter collections, from snowboard to sustainable.
This season, Vancouver Fashion Week moves to Storyeum in Vancouver’s trendy and touristy Gastown neighbourhood. Located at 142 Water Street, Storyeum is an expansive venue with plenty of space for runways, exhibitions and industry lectures.
It also brings visitors into the heart of the city where runway fashions step boldly onto the streets of Vancouver.
While Storyeum is the main venue, Vancouver Fashion Week will kick off in Whistler, BC at Garfinkels. In their tenth year, Garfinkels is Whistler’s largest nightclub and live concert venue, lending well to a runway show featuring trends in snowboard and ski wear for Fall/Winter 2009.
Vancouver Fashion Week has been an attraction for Canadian and international designers from around the world, delivering a diverse and multicultural fashion experience since 2000. Widely recognized as a global platform for designers, Vancouver Fashion Week has become the West Coast’s most prestigious event, bringing together 15,000 designers, buyers, local and international media and the city’s fashionable set.
Now celebrating its eighth year, Vancouver Fashion Week has established itself as a widely recognized event which provides a forum to nurture and celebrate the fashion industry in Vancouver. In recent years, Vancouver Fashion Week has featured internationally acclaimed designers, including Versace and Anna Sui, in addition to emerging designers such as Patricia Fieldwalker, David Dickson and Sanjana Jon.
