Israel's "Castro", a Fashion house with an honored history of 50 years has presented its fall-winter 2009-2010 collection in Tel Aviv, dominated by black designs.
Black and drama will dominate the Israeli fashion scene during the next winter, according to the country's leading fashion chain, Castro.
Dozens of models paraded down the catwalk in the coastal city of Tel Aviv on Sunday, in the company's annual fashion show.
Castro designer Sagiv Dalam said, "We have, like, a dramatic collection, it's all about drama. We have, like, a lot of black in this collection. We have the vintage which is all about layering and military influences. We have the tailored preppy look with the three-piece suits, with bow tie."
Models showed off skirts, pants and accessories in black, gray and red, as well as layered outfits.
The Castro-men's collection was dominated by the "tailored-preppy" look, with vests from unique materials and light jackets fit for Tel Aviv's night club scene.
Castro fashion house and store chain has been operating in the Israeli market for over 50 years, one of the local longest-living fashion brands. The company designs both women's and men's clothes, and has 98 branches across Israel. In recent years, the fashion chain has expanded to Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Romania, Switzerland and Thailand.
The chain was founded by Aaron Castro, a Jew of Greek decent who immigrated as a child to Israel. The company is now estimated to be worth 103 million US dollars, and is traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange.
