UK’s largest theme park and family resort has decided to ban wearing of the figure hugging Speedo swimwear or any other garment that resembles them in its pools as they think that they are not appropriate for a family venue.
Mr Morwenna Angove, Sales and Marketing Director of Alton Towers Resort said that, “We feel this small brief style is not appropriate for a family venue so we are advising male bathers to wear more protective swimwear such as shorts”.
The Speedo LZR Racer swim suit has also recently come under the scanner of the World Swimming Federation which has banned the use of these swimsuits, effective from January 1, 2010 in all swimming competitions.
