Compact spinning: The future of yarn technology

Write: Nilay [2011-05-20]
A new, and bonofied innovation has occurred in the field of spinning called compact or condensed spinning. It has acquired this name as it minimizes width and height of the spinning triangle associated with ring spinning.
This process is believed to improve yarn quality and enhance its performance during downstream processing. The technical principles of compact spinning result in a more organized structure without peripheral fibers and with a better twist distribution.
In compact spinning, the spinning triangle associated with conventional ring spinning is eliminated by pneumatic compaction, which happens by suction and compaction on a perforated revolving drum/apron in the front zone of the drafting.
This technique can be used universally for all kinds of fibres, man-made or natural as well as blends for the complete range of counts, without restriction.
