Swim and young contemporary lines turn up the volume for the ASR/Seventeen Magazine runway show. Spring styles from ASR Marketplace brands go in motion at “Fashionably Loud” with looks inspired by rock icons on both September 10th and 11th at 3:00p.m in Hall D. This is the best chance for buyers and media to check out highlights from Roxy, Billabong, Volcom, Fox, O’Neill, L*Space, Quiksilver, Element, Vans, Ezekiel, Lost and dozens of other brands on models.
“Fashion’s influence on ASR continues to grow as seen in new product, introduction of CLASS@ASR and the creative lines coming out of our industry,” says Andy Tompkins, VP Nielsen Sports Group. “No where is this trend more evident than on the ASR/Seventeen runway when all the talented, hard working designers have their moment to really shine.”
Style icons from Lennon and McCartney to Kurt and Courtney provide the inspiration for spring and summer trends and become the driving force for Seventeen’s First Look 2010 Spring/Summer runway show. Flashback to the greatest moments in music history and evoke timeless staples of artists who’ve rocked the fashion industry. Experience next season’s lines as a collective look styled by Seventeen Magazine’s fashion editors set to beats spun by DJ Albert Rosario.
“There’s a lot to choose from style-wise for spring 2010, because none of the companies look alike, which is a good thing. I always look forward to walking ASR and seeing the complete lines and talking with the designers,” says Marissa Grumer, Senior Market Editor for Seventeen. “This year the runway show is inspired by the music we love. It’s going to be filled with the energy of different generations of music - just like the trends I’ve been seeing. The best part of presenting a fashion show at ASR is getting to see clothes on professional models, something that I hope buyers will take advantage of while at the show. It’s so fun seeing the clothes come to life.”
Sheets detailing the various pieces in each look allow buyers to pick out their favorites. Getting styles into their stores couldn’t be easier with sales reps writing orders only feet from the catwalk. Cruise through Hall D to check out swimwear and all of the ASR Marketplace for the best looks for 2010.
