The Oxford Murders was published in 2003 and released in China in 2008. The story involves Martin, an Argentinean student studying at the University of Oxford, and a professor of logic, Arthur Seldom, who begin investigating a series of bizarre murders in the university town.
Professor Seldom believes that, although the cases bafflle the local police, they can be solved using mathematical principles. Their investigations lead them to a series of mathematic clues and unexpected dangers.
In the film version, which was directed by the Spanish director lex de la Iglesia, Elijah Wood played Martin and John Hurt played Professor Arthur Seldom.
