Pakistan's leather exports fell 1% in July to $94.7 million compared with $95.7 million in June. However, exports rose by 19.9% compared with July 2009 figures ($79 million), according to the country’s Federal Bureau of Statistics.
The breakdown showed that Pakistan exported finished leather worth $35.3 million (-17.6%), leathergoods worth $49.6 million (+6.7%) and footwear worth $9.8 million (+56.4%) compared with $42.7 million, $46.5 million and $6.3 million, respectively, in July 2009.
